Bringing ambitious engineers on board: meet TAG’s Campus Recruitment Team

At TAG, we put a lot of effort into top-tier recruitment. Our Campus Recruitment Team is at the heart of our mission to attract ambitious engineers who thrive in a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous learning. We sat down with Stefaan, the team lead, to hear how they connect with top graduates and bring future talent into the TAG team.

What is the Campus Recruitment Team all about?

"The Campus Recruitment Team is one of several working groups at TAG, made up of colleagues who collaborate on internal projects. Our focus is on building strong ties with student organisations and deciding where we want to get involved, based on TAG’s vision."

"I initially joined as a team member, handling events and activities. But as TAG expanded into cities like Brussels, Hasselt, and Antwerp, our focus broadened, and so did my role. Today, I support a team of eight colleagues with their operational and contract-related questions.”

Stefaan sums it up clearly: "We’re always on the lookout for ambitious engineers who fit our culture and have a can-do attitude. We want people who are proactive, eager to learn, and capable of critical thinking. While we function as a strong team, we put just as much emphasis on personal growth, helping every individual reach their full potential."

TAG also fosters continuous learning: "We kickstart the graduates’ journey with a one-week Bootcamp, followed by monthly training sessions. Later on, we provide training budgets to support their development as they move into more advanced roles."

What kind of profiles do you look for in new graduates?

"We’re looking for Dutch-speaking engineers with strong analytical skills. Not just technical expertise, but a pragmatic mindset. We need problem-solvers who turn challenges into real-world solutions. Quality is a key value at TAG, and we always aim to deliver our best work. We also want people who thrive in exceptional teams, grow with our

guidance, and contribute to TAG’s success. Continuous learning and mutual feedback are essential to our culture; TAG wants to help everyone to be the best version of themselves.”

What makes TAG stand out at job fairs?

Stefaan is proud of how the TAG booth sets itself apart from the competition. "Our booth is unlike any other. We’ve designed it ourselves, using pallets to create a unique stand. People always stop to take a look – it’s hard to miss! And if they haven’t heard of TAG yet, they’re always keen to learn what we do and why we’re an exciting place to work, over a cold TAG beer from our fridge.”

He adds: “Moreover we’re always dressed professionally, reflecting the TAG brand and our 'work hard, play hard' philosophy. Most importantly, we highlight our growth opportunities; at TAG, your role is never set in stone, and there’s always room to evolve."

What’s the best part of working in campus recruitment?

For Stefaan, it’s all about seeing colleagues grow: "I love watching my team members thrive. It’s rewarding to explain something once and see them take off on their own. My role is very fulfilling because I get to work with hands-on, eager-to-learn colleagues."

He also loves representing TAG at job fairs. "I’m proud to share our story with students. I’m not just giving them a sales pitch – I can share my own experience, in a genuine way. The key values of TAG really resonate with me, and it’s easy to talk about a company I truly believe in."
